Vogue Chaos Issue 3: Fashion’s Criminal Obsession
Apparently, fashion only opens its gates for those who should be behind them
Ever since the Netflix documentary, I have been bombarded with photos of Anna Delvey doing fashion shoots with her ankle monitor in all its glory. If you have been on Tumblr or Twitter for a minute, it would immediately bring you back to this moment Lindsay Lohan was photographed with her ankle monitor at a party. She actually tweeted at Chanel to make her something cute to hide her scram bracelet and Karl Lagerfeld obliged. This was a chaotic time in fashion – which brands are still trying to force-create today. But Anna Delvey can never be Lilo!
It is in times like these normies can truly see how much power fashion has in influencing our perception of people. Fashion has rehabilitated Delvey, from a white collar criminal to a quirky anti-hero. We are always in search for the next it-girl who can provide brands instant virality, but since Bella Hadid is so booked and busy, we get a low-budget, got nothing to lose, fresh off Netflix-fame criminal to fill in these shoes.
Its bizzare how many actual big name publication have written reverently about her style. Addressing the elephant in the room – THE CAUCACITY! How is she doing PHOTOSHOOTS and starting her own TV show AND going to HARVARD BUSINESS SCHOOL to take a lecture! How is this legal and how are we as a society letting people get away with this.
If you thought my outrage was over wait till you hear this – Anna Delvey just endorsed ALEXANDER WANG. Yes, the Alexander Wang who was accused of sexual assault by multiple models, but with whom ‘he reached an agreement’. After merely four years of no consequences, but excellent sales figures in China, he is back in New York. Over this time, he has somehow dressed celebrities like Rihanna, Lisa from Black Pink, Kylie Jenner, and Julia Fox. There is no way that these girls who are known for their fashion were not aware of these allegations, but for some reason, continued to support him. I wonder why though because their looks were not even good.
If I were to sell my soul, it would surely not be for these outfits. I would probably sell my soul for Alessandro Michele or JW Anderson – but that’s not relevant. I would not for Wang. What was the offer that these BILLIONAIRES could not refuse?
What is even more blood curdling is that Wang is supporting AAPI communities in LA in order to win back sympathy for his brand. It is difficult to voice opinions against Wang when there is a possibility that you might be alienating a group of people and inviting allegations of racism, especially in a charged environment when Asian Americans were being targeted right after the pandemic began. Using race as a shield is pretty pathetic.
I am so tired of being angry that I will not even mention Beyonce’s multiple outings in Dolce and Gabbana.
I don’t know how to conclude this other than just requesting everyone to wake up from their collective amnesia and stop interacting with these posts – stop giving them a single click. A brilliant thing actually will be if you just forward this email to your friends who you want to inform and just give me clicks instead ¯\ _ (ツ) _ /¯

Lol the looks were dead.
It feels like a way to gain attention to be fair. Also to clear up, Lisa's look is from an M/V so a stylist chose the look. She probably doesn't even know what brand she's wearing.
